Sagra delle Fettuccine ai Funghi Porcini (Porcini Mushroom Fettuccine Festival)

Ascrea is preparing to celebrate its most authentic culinary tradition with the 38th edition of the Sagra delle Fettuccine ai Funghi Porcini on Sunday, August 2, 2026. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Turano Valley, between the shores of the lake and the forests surrounding this charming Lazio village, the local Pro Loco invites lovers of genuine flavours to share a day dedicated to this gastronomic specialty that represents the excellence of Lazio cuisine. From 12:00 until midnight, beneath a welcoming marquee, the celebrated egg fettuccine with creamy porcini mushroom sauce will be served alongside bruschetta, sausages, beans, and carefully selected local wines. Beyond traditional dishes, the festival offers an afternoon rich in cultural and educational attractions. A cooking show and fettuccine-making workshop led by Riccardo Canacci will allow visitors to watch firsthand the preparation of this specialty and taste hand-rolled fettuccine made according to the authentic recipe. Throughout the village streets, a market of local products and the photographic exhibition ‹Murals Installations› will complete the cultural offerings, while a free shuttle service will transport visitors from the provincial road to the village centre. The evening comes alive with live music, transforming Ascrea into a stage of conviviality and tradition.
