Sagra d'ottobre (October Festival)

From October 9 to 13, 2026, Mezzana Bigli welcomes back the traditional Sagra d'ottobre, an event blending art, culture, and entertainment for all ages. Organized by Pro Loco Mezzanese in collaboration with the Municipality, the Silvia Guerra Library, and the Parish of San Giovanni Battista, the festival enlivens the town with a rich schedule of activities centered around the Centro Polifunzionale on Via Roma. The program kicks off on Friday with a 'Scala 40' card tournament and continues throughout the weekend with art and literature events, including the local music history exhibition 'Ma che musica, Maestro!', the award ceremony for the 'Per amore di scrittura' literary competition, and book and documentary presentations exploring the area's history. Visitors can also enjoy a performance by the Banda Iris marching band, children's theater shows, a peace-themed art exhibition, and a religious service paired with a charity raffle. Throughout the festivities, the town comes alive with attractions like a funfair in Piazza Gramsci, food stands and aperitifs curated by the Pro Loco, a lottery drawing, and the traditional goods fair concluding the celebrations on Tuesday morning.
