Sagra delle Radici

The undisputed star of the festival is the radice amara (bitter root), a winter vegetable with a distinctive and delicious flavor that represents an authentic specialty of the Cremona territory and is celebrated as a local agricultural excellence. During the festival, Piazza Garibaldi transforms into a gastronomic hub: the Pro loco Association sets up a food service area where visitors can savour dishes based on root vegetables paired with local sausages, french fries, tripe, and the famous Cremona mostarda (fruit preserve), all accompanied by local torrone (nougat).
