Govone is preparing to celebrate with its traditional Patron Saint Festival and the 11th edition of the Sagra della Lumaca, an unmissable event for lovers of Piedmont gastronomy. From August 20-25, 2026, the enchanting setting of the Royal Castle will host six days of festivities featuring taste, culture, and entertainment, with events guaranteed even in bad weather. Food and wine stands will be open every evening starting at 7:30 PM, offering the most authentic dishes of Piedmont tradition with special attention to snails, the undisputed star of the festival. Guests can enjoy snails prepared according to traditional recipes, paired with the finest local DOC wines from Govone. This year's novelties include carpione, a delicious chicken cutlet with eggs and zucchini, and vegetarian burgers, offering increasingly varied and inclusive choices. Beyond culinary delights, the entertainment program features live music every evening with tribute band performances spanning pop to rock, creating a festive atmosphere late into the night.
