Arancia del Gargano

Arancia del Gargano IGP includes the varieties Bionda del Gargano and Duretta del Gargano, cultivated in Europe's northernmost citrus-growing region. The Gargano orange groves, protected from northern winds by the promontory, benefit from a unique microclimate that allows the growth of exceptionally high-quality citrus fruits.

The Bionda has juicy and sweet flesh, while the Duretta boasts a uniquely crispy texture unmatched in the Italian citrus landscape. Cultivation takes place in small enclosed gardens ("jardini") with dry stone walls.

These oranges are stars of Gargano gastronomy: from acquasale to jams, from desserts to artisanal liqueurs.
