Locorotondo is a white DOC wine produced in the Valle d'Itria, in the heart of Puglia, in a territory characterized by centuries-old winemaking tradition. The grapes come from vineyards cultivated on calcareous and clayey soils, which give the wine minerality and structure. The production area includes the municipality of the same name and surrounding territories, where the Mediterranean climate and Ionian breezes favor balanced grape ripening.
In the glass, Locorotondo presents itself with a bright straw-yellow color. On the nose, floral and fruity aromas emerge, with notes of citrus, almond, and sometimes a light spiciness. On the palate it is fresh and savory, with good acidity and a crisp, persistent finish—characteristics that make it pleasantly drinkable and versatile.
This white wine pairs beautifully with dishes from Puglian cuisine: from orecchiette with vegetables to seafood, from tiella to cauliflower. It is ideal as an aperitif and can also be appreciated in sparkling version. Its freshness makes it particularly suited to high temperatures and represents an excellence of Puglian winemaking heritage.
