Sagra del Pesce a Giorgino – Cagliari (Giorgino Fish Festival)

The Sagra del Pesce di Giorgino returns to Cagliari for its 39th edition on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, 2026. Set in the piazza of Villaggio Pescatori, this traditional festival is organized by the Villaggio Pescatori - Giorgino neighborhood committee alongside local residents and with the patronage of the Municipality of Cagliari, celebrating the area's rich culinary and maritime heritage. Food stalls open from 8:00 PM, featuring a delicious variety of classic Cagliari specialties: the traditional 'pisci a collettu' appetizer served with olives, mixed fried seafood from the lagoon and the gulf, grilled mullets and sardines, and seafood pasta baked in foil (al cartoccio), all accompanied by crisp Vermentino wine. Both evenings also feature cultural events and entertainment. Saturday includes Holy Mass, an urban dance workshop, a live concert by Lazarus Man, and group dancing with Mary Sandy. Sunday features further creative workshops, the clown comedy show 'Hope Hope Hopla' by Teatro del Sottosuolo, and a live performance by Big Mama, hosted in collaboration with Forma e Poesia nel Jazz.
