Festa di Sant’Isidoro a Castelsardo (Festival of Saint Isidore)

On September 19, 2026, Castelsardo celebrates the Festa di Sant'Isidoro, the patron saint of farmers, blending religious devotion with Sardinian folk heritage. The religious program begins in the afternoon in Piazza Nuova with a solemn Holy Mass, followed by the traditional procession carrying the saint's statue toward the Cattedrale di Sant'Antonio Abate. The parade winds through the charming town's landmarks, including Piazza La Loggetta, via Nazionale, via Rinascita, and Spalti Manganella for a solemn blessing. The devotional procession is accompanied by the evocative sounds of launeddas, alongside horses, ox-drawn carts, and festively decorated tractors.
