31° Festa della Mela (Naz-Sciaves Apple Festival)

The 31st edition of the Festa della Mela takes place in Naz-Sciaves, on the apple plateau of Valle Isarco, to celebrate the end of the seasonal harvest. Festivities kick off in the morning with the traditional Frühschoppen featuring Weißwurst, pretzels, and live music, alongside tastings of freshly harvested apples and guided walks through the local orchards. In the early afternoon, the event peaks with the grand Thanksgiving harvest parade through the village streets, featuring marching bands, festive floats, the carriage of honor, and an impressive float topped by a giant crown crafted from thousands of apples. The celebration continues with official greetings, the traditional cutting of the giant apple strudel, the coronation of the new Apple Queen, entertainment for children, and a lively farmers' market brimming with local specialties.
