To celebrate the International Day of Older Persons, Piazza Matteotti in Bolzano hosts the Festa della Convivialità, an event dedicated to senior citizens. Promoted by the Municipal Council for the Elderly, sponsored by the Department of Social Policies of the Municipality of Bolzano, and organized in partnership with UISP, this gathering offers a day full of togetherness and community spirit. The schedule features plenty of entertainment starting in the morning, including choir and musical performances by the ARGE 'Tanzen ab der Lebensmitte im KVW' group, the AUSER choir, and the 'Die Junggebliebenen' choir. In the afternoon, the square comes alive with live music and dancing by 'The Blow Up'. A variety of recreational activities enrich the festival, such as card tournaments and games of burraco, briscola, and Watten, an art and painting workshop run by Club Arcimboldo, and a food stand managed by the Gruppo Alpini Gries. An information booth hosted by the Local Police will also provide advice on fraud prevention.
