Castel Mareccio in Bolzano hosts the Game Jam, a consecutive 48-hour video game development marathon held as part of the Game Ground gaming festival. Organized by the BeYoung association alongside the local developer community, the event challenges participants to design and program original video game projects from Friday afternoon through Sunday. To fully support coders and creatives throughout every phase of the hackathon, the venue provides Wi-Fi connectivity, ongoing technical guidance from tutors and mentors, refreshment areas, and dedicated gaming stations for breaks, as well as the option to stay overnight on-site. At the end of the 48-hour sprint, the completed projects presented by the teams will compete for shopping voucher prizes.
