Invito alla gara internazionale all’insegna di divertimento e nostalgia (International Vintage Ski Race)

The 'Invito alla gara internazionale all’insegna di divertimento e nostalgia', also widely known as the Nostalgia Jamboree race, is a charming vintage skiing event set against the dramatic backdrop of Alpe di Siusi in Fiè allo Sciliar. The competition draws ski enthusiasts and retro aficionados from all across the Alps, tackling snowy slopes dressed in authentic period attire with historic wooden skis and equipment. The day begins with a lively parade winding from Compaccio to the valley station of the Panorama cable car, followed by the vintage race on the slopes. In the afternoon, the award ceremony honors the best vintage costumes, top theatrical performances, and the fastest time clocked in the giant slalom. Organized in collaboration with the Alpe di Siusi nostalgic group and Otto Mauroner from Castelrotto, registered participants (competing in teams of at least three or individually) receive a day ski pass, a welcoming toast, and lunch at the traditional alpine mountain huts.
