SAGRA DEI MOZAC

The Sagra dei Mozac of Lenzumo returns to Valle di Concei with an edition rich in traditions and authentic Trentino flavours. This event celebrates the historical identity of the local community, whose residents are traditionally called 'Mozac', keeping alive the customs and typical gastronomy of the region. Two intense days of celebration promise to entertain visitors with genuine dishes and a festive atmosphere that involves the entire community. The programme offers a memorable culinary experience: on Saturday 22 August, a dinner featuring polenta and spiedo (roasted meat skewers) inaugurates the festivities, while on Saturday 23 August the same gastronomic offer is enriched by an evening of dancing that enlivens the valley late into the night with live music. Sunday 24 August represents the highlight of the sagra with the famous Caponec, the traditional acrobats who challenge themselves in the Palo della Cuccagna (the greased pole competition), a spectacular contest accompanied by live music and entertainment for all ages. The Caponec are the undisputed protagonists of the festival: young local athletes who attempt to climb a vertical greased pole to reach prizes and recognition, creating scenes of pure adrenaline and fun that leave the audience breathless.
