Salita degli animali ai pascoli del Salto (Cattle Drive to the Salto Pastures)

The Salita degli animali ai pascoli del Salto (Soltenauftrieb) is a traditional farming event taking place on the Salto high plateau, in the area of San Genesio Atesino. The festival celebrates the ascent of livestock to alpine pastures, paying tribute to the rural roots and mountain heritage of the region. Organized by the Grey Cattle Breeders Association (Grauviehzüchter), the event features the transfer and arrival of the herds at the Wirtshof starting at 12:00 PM on Saturday. The welcoming of the cattle is accompanied by festive celebrations, local gastronomy, and entertainment on the plateau.
