The Sagra di Eschio 'Aschler Kirchtag' is one of the most anticipated summer events in Verano, an unmissable opportunity to immerse yourself in the authentic culture and fascinating traditions of Trentino-Alto Adige. Organized with dedication by the Volunteer Fire Department of Verano, this festival is rooted in local history and represents a moment of genuine community gathering where live music, authentic conviviality, and good spirits are the true stars of an unforgettable weekend. The atmosphere is typical of Alpine festivals: colorful stalls, the inviting aroma of local specialties like speck, alpine cheeses, and freshly baked strudel, and the festive sparkle of nighttime lights that transform the main tent into an oasis of collective joy. **The Fascinating Program:** Friday evening (9:00 PM) opens the festival with an energetic dance evening hosted by a DJ. Saturday evening (8:00 PM) continues with the thrilling performance by the popular group LÄTS FETZ, followed by additional musical entertainment. Sunday is the culmination of the event: a charming musical band introduction from Bobingen precedes the grand parade at 2:00 PM, departing from the artisan area and winding to Verano's main tent with traditional costumes and allegorical floats. Following this, the local brass band performs a concert at 3:00 PM, with the grand finale captured by the enchanting and engaging traditional dances of the Schuhplattler from Meltina (4:30 PM). **Gastronomic Specialties:** Taste Verano speck smoked according to traditional recipes, DOP alpine cheeses, apple strudel, and typical Tyrolean dishes prepared by the skilled hands of volunteers. **Access and Information:** The event is easily accessible from multiple directions: those coming from Postal can use the convenient cable car (reduced cost for festival visitors), while those arriving from Merano can access via the MEBO with exit at Merano South (approximately 15 minutes by car).
