Sagra del Favollo (Favollo Crab Festival)

The Sagra del Favollo returns to Rosignano Marittimo, one of the most anticipated events of the Tuscan summer dedicated to the undisputed star of Livorno's seafaring cuisine: the favollo crab. Now in its 15th edition, this festival promises three evenings of authentic flavours and convivial atmosphere, with dishes prepared according to the finest traditions of the Tuscan coast. From 13 to 15 August, the L'Oliveta Festival Area in Piazza Giosuè Carducci will transform into a welcoming open-air trattoria where you can savour specialities made with favollo crab, from the classic cacciucco to recipes that highlight the qualities of this precious crustacean with its heart-shaped shell. The festival's restaurant will be open every evening from 7:30 PM onwards, guaranteeing a quality culinary experience in a charming setting. To complete the evenings, entertainment will be plentiful: from 9:30 PM onwards, live music and performances will enliven the after-dinner hours, turning the festival into the perfect occasion to combine the pleasure of fine dining with enjoyable company.
