The Festa dei Volpai returns to Pozzolatico for its 13th edition, an unmissable event for lovers of Tuscan hunting traditions and fine cuisine. On Saturday, May 23rd and Sunday, 24th, the Impruneta Cultural Recreation Club transforms into a stage where passion for hunting, wildlife, and the authentic flavors of the region converge in a unique celebration. Organized by the local FIdC and the Fox Hunting Squad, these two days promise fun, gastronomy, and entertainment, with every moment crafted to captivate visitors of all ages. The spotlight falls on game-based dishes: from scottiglia di maiale (the festival's signature dish) to braised brains, alongside classic wild boar with leeks and braised roe deer. Beyond traditional recipes, the menu also features chicken, sliced steak, and grilled options, complemented by Tuscan antipasti featuring local cured meats, cheeses, bread, and olive oil—an gastronomic experience that tells the story of Florentine territory and its biodiversity. But Festa dei Volpai is far more than food: it's a fascinating journey into the world of hunting and nature.
