Festa della Grigliata e degli Sgabei (Grilled Meat and Sgabei Festival)

Tuscan summer returns with the 18th Edition of the Festa della Grigliata e degli Sgabei, an unmissable event for lovers of traditional cuisine and festive atmosphere. From Friday 7 to Sunday 9 August 2026, in the enchanting Parco Le Sughere in Bientina, in the heart of the Valdarno Pisano, the gastronomic tradition is renewed with dishes cooked over charcoal and local specialties that delight even the most discerning palates. Sgabei, the undisputed stars of the festival, embody the essence of Tuscan simplicity: a leavened bread dough fried in a pan to achieve a crispy, irresistible texture with authentic flavour. Alongside these culinary masterpieces, grilled meats bring succulent meat cooked over fire to the table, releasing all the flavour of regional tradition. The complete menu includes mixed grilled meats of premium quality, Tuscan sausages, steaks, sgabei in all varieties, pani and oil, accompanied by traditional side dishes. Each evening, starting at 7:30 PM, the food stalls welcome visitors in a magical atmosphere among the centuries-old oak trees of the park. Three unforgettable days filled with entertainment and live music, with performances by local artists every evening. Admission is completely free. The festival is organized by ASD Polisportiva Quattro Strade 1969 with the support of the Circolo Ricreativo e Culturale Il Risorgimento.
