Festa der Contadino

The Festa der Contadino returns to Buti, in the province of Pisa, to celebrate Tuscan rural traditions with three days dedicated to countryside gastronomy and conviviality. From June 12 to 14, 2026, the Campo Sportivo di Cascine di Buti will transform into a culinary arena where you can rediscover the authentic flavors of farm-to-table cuisine, with dishes that tell the story and culture of the region. The proposed menu is a true tribute to tradition: from vegetable soup to salt cod in its variations with leeks or grilled with chickpeas, to timeless classics such as beef steak, tripe and sausage. There will be no shortage of appetizers with cold cuts, crostini and tomato bruschetta, pasta with various sauces, and a selection of genuine side dishes. To close the evening, homemade desserts: chocolate grandfather cake and cream grandmother cake, true symbols of Tuscan family cooking. But the Festa der Contadino is not just about food: each evening the food stalls open at 7:00 PM for dinner, followed by live music that brings the Campo Sportivo to life until late. Local artists and traditional bands will bring the rhythms of the Tuscan countryside, creating a festive and authentic atmosphere. A special farmer's dinner is planned for Sunday, June 14, an unmissable moment for those who want to fully immerse themselves in this rural celebration with a tasting menu and exclusive entertainment. The event is organized by Contrada Viarella, which guarantees authenticity and quality in every aspect of the event. Reservations are not required for dinner, but are recommended for large groups.
