Sagra del Gallettino

The much-anticipated Sagra del Gallettino returns to Staffoli, a charming hamlet in Santa Croce sull'Arno in the province of Pisa. From May 15 to 17, 2026, this gastronomic event celebrates Tuscan culinary traditions with a menu featuring the authentic flavors of the region. Organized by the local Pro loco in collaboration with AVIS blood donor volunteers, the festival offers a perfect opportunity to discover genuine dishes prepared with passion and dedication. The undisputed star of the three-day event is gallettino alla brace (chargrilled young rooster), a specialty rooted in Tuscan farming traditions, accompanied by other local specialties including Tuscan antipasto, pasta al ragù, mushroom and sausage risotto, and the beloved salsicce e fagioli all'uccelletta (sausages and beans). The food stands, set up at the AVIS Center on Via Ugo Foscolo, will welcome visitors for themed dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings, while Sunday offers the traditional festive lunch. An authentic culinary experience that combines the pleasure of fine food with a spirit of community and solidarity, where each dish tells a story of Tuscan territory and tradition.
