Sagra del Tortello (Tortello Festival)

The much-anticipated Sagra del Tortello returns to Piancaldoli, in the heart of Firenzuola in the province of Florence, as one of Tuscany's most beloved gastronomic traditions. From August 14–16, 2026, this charming village transforms into an unmissable destination for authentic cuisine enthusiasts, where you can savor the celebrated ricotta tortelli prepared according to the most genuine local recipes. A complete and varied gastronomic offering awaits you: from classic butter tortelli to refined versions with ragù or prugnoli, each bite captures the authentic flavor of local tradition. Chargrilled Florentine steaks served with the typical piadina flatbread offer the perfect pairing, while crescente and polenta round out a menu celebrating Tuscany's most representative dishes. Sweet specialties and local beverages complete your culinary experience perfectly. The food stands operate on flexible schedules: Friday, August 14 from 7:00 PM to midnight; Saturday, August 15 from 11:30 AM to midnight (continuous service); Sunday, August 16 from 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM. The convivial atmosphere is enriched with live music every evening, children's entertainment on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and the chance to discover local craftsmanship at exhibition stands.
