Sagra della Ranocchiocciola (Frogs and Snails Festival)

In the hamlet of Baccaiano, located in the municipality of Montespertoli, the Sagra della Ranocchiocciola returns, organized by the Circolo ARCI 'La Pinetina'. This event is rooted in a tradition established in 1975, revived to celebrate two historic pillars of Tuscan rural cuisine: frogs and snails. The menu highlights traditional recipes such as stewed snails and fried frogs legs, alongside grilled specialties including barbecue chicken and pork loin steaks. First courses are enriched with authentic Tuscan beef ragù freshly prepared by the expert hands of Nonna Luciana. Beyond the culinary offerings, the festival evenings feature lively recreational entertainment with live music and DJ sets.
