Sagra della Trippa

The Sagra della Trippa di Poggio Salamartano returns for its fifth edition with two evenings celebrating authentic Tuscan gastronomy. On the weekend of June 20-21, the charming village of Fucecchio becomes an unmissable destination to taste one of Florence's most iconic dishes: trippa, prepared strictly according to traditional recipes. From the main course offered in three different variations – alla fiorentina, salad-style, and with penne – to classic mixed crostini and Tuscan antipasto, every dish tells the story and culinary passion of this region. But the festival offers much more than just food: the menu generously extends to grilled specialties, lampredotto, and other local delicacies, accompanied by a carefully curated selection of wines, beers, and soft drinks. A highlight of this year's edition is the takeaway service, perfect for those who prefer to enjoy these delicacies in the comfort of their own home. The afternoon concludes with traditional desserts: watermelon and ‹frati›. The event takes place Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21 at Poggio Salamartano. Entry is completely free. Tables are available from 7:00 PM onwards with service until late night. For reservations of large groups, it is recommended to contact the organizers in advance. Parking is available in the immediate vicinity with accessible facilities for people with reduced mobility. After dinner, the celebration continues with live music that keeps the festivities going late into the evening, creating a festive and convivial atmosphere.
