Sagra dei Pomi (Apple Festival)

The Sagra dei Pomi returns to Codiponte, a hamlet of Casola in Lunigiana, to celebrate its 41st edition. This historic event combines local gastronomic traditions with festive activities and entertainment designed for all ages. The origin of the festival is closely linked to a historic reinette apple orchard located near the ancient proto-Romanesque parish church (Pieve), with these apples becoming the stars of the typical cakes and fritters prepared for the occasion. In addition to apple-based delicacies, the menu features local specialties such as asado, grilled meats, a trio of polenta, and 'meschia', along with typical sgabei (fried, salted bread dough to be stuffed to your liking) and cian. Accompanying the culinary delights, the festival will feature a parade of allegorical floats, a craft market, and evening entertainment with live music and dancing in the square.
