Sagra del Cacciucco

The Sagra del Cacciucco returns to Badia Pozzeveri for its 48th edition, an unmissable event for lovers of Tuscan seafood cuisine. From June 19 to July 5 (with dates concentrated on weekends), this hamlet of Altopascio transforms into a gastronomic oasis where you can taste authentic and genuine dishes, with the celebrated Livorno-style cacciucco as the undisputed star, available every evening of the festival. This edition stands out for its attention to all dietary needs: the first three days (June 19-21) are dedicated to gluten-free and lactose-free specialties, because good food should be accessible to everyone. Alongside the famous cacciucco, the stands offer the renowned ‹zuppetta di pesci› in the Viareggio style and other delicacies from the local seafood tradition. But the Sagra del Cacciucco is much more than just food: it's an occasion for celebration, community, and fun.
