Festa dei Funghi e del Galletto di Nervesa (Mushroom and Grilled Cockerel Festival)

In Nervesa della Battaglia, the historic Festa dei Funghi e del Galletto makes its anticipated return, organized by the local Pro Loco in collaboration with the municipality and held as part of the traditional Sagra di San Girolamo. Boasting over forty years of history, this autumn festival celebrates the flavors and culinary excellence of the Montello region. At the heart of the event is the food pavilion—also offering takeaway service—where visitors can savor charcoal-grilled cockerel and a rich variety of mushroom dishes including porcini, honey mushrooms (chiodini), and chanterelles (finferli), along with other traditional local specialties. The vibrant schedule of activities includes mycological and craft exhibitions, a bird and farm animal fair, live musical entertainment, an amusement park, folklore reenactments of rural traditions, and guided nature hikes through Montello and along the banks of the Piave River.
