PARLAR PETEL. Filò per la Maratona di lettura 2026

To mark the tenth edition of the reading marathon #ilvenetolegge2026 and the 50th anniversary of the publication of Andrea Zanzotto's 'Filò', the Town of Pieve di Soligo hosts the 'PARLAR PETEL' initiative. The event revives the Venetian tradition of the 'filò' as a space for gathering and storytelling, offering an exploration of the vitality of local dialects in contemporary poetry and literature. The program features two sessions dedicated to the spoken and written word. At 6:00 PM, in the courtyard behind the Town Hall, the discussion 'Parola: tra performance stampa e scrittura' (Word: between performance, print, and writing) will take place, moderated by Oreste Sabadin alongside poet Roberta Durante, scholar Michele Toniolo, and poet-essayist Pierfranco Uliana. In case of bad weather, the gathering will move to the Auditorium Battistella-Moccia. At 8:30 PM, at the Auditorium Battistella-Moccia, the evening concludes with the talk-performance 'Il dialetto è un ingresso o un’uscita?' (Is dialect an entrance or an exit?), a live performance by writer and playwright Tiziano Scarpa focusing on the expressive and identity-defining power of dialect.
