Sagra del Riso Merlengo (Rice & Risotto Festival)

The Sagra del Riso takes place in Merlengo, a hamlet in the municipality of Ponzano Veneto, from August 21 to 31, 2026, set against the lovely backdrop of Piazza Chiesa. Organized by the Parish Community of San Bartolomeo alongside the festival committee and local volunteers, the event brings the area to life for eleven days of celebration in honor of the patron saint Bartholomew. The festival's food offerings stand out thanks to a rotating menu, with local restaurants taking turns each evening to prepare different gourmet risottos. At the covered food court, visitors can also savor traditional specialties such as grilled meats, pan-fried local cheese, roast beef, polenta, and cold platters, paired with a curated selection of local wines, beers, and aperitifs. Enriching the festival program are live music nights, DJ sets, and stage shows, as well as amusement park rides for children and families, and a charity raffle. Religious services and the traditional Sunday community lunch round out the festivities.
