Sagra del Cecatiello a Paupisi (Cecatiello Pasta Festival)

The Sagra del Cecatiello – Festival of Flavors and Street Artists is the historic food and wine festival of Paupisi, now in its 53rd edition. Promoted by the Pro Loco of Paupisi in collaboration with the Municipality and under the patronage of the Campania Region, the event has been awarded the prestigious 'Sagra di Qualità' certification, enlivening the historic center with cultural entertainment and itinerant music. The star of the table is the traditional handmade cecatiello paupisano, a fresh pasta certified as a Traditional Agri-food Product (PAT), served with traditional sauces alongside local recipes such as 'padellaccia' and savory stew. Tasting stands feature renowned Sannio wines, including Aglianico and Falanghina, paired with vibrant performances by street artists. For the 2026 edition, the Pro Loco of Paupisi officially announced the cancellation of the event originally scheduled for August 27–30, in mourning following the tragic loss of an organization collaborator and volunteer.
