Sagra del Tortello, Strozzaprete e Lumache (Tortello, Strozzaprete and Snails Festival)

Campagnatico prepares to celebrate the authentic flavours of the Grosseto Maremma with the 37th edition of the Sagra del Tortello, Strozzaprete e Lumache. From July 24th to August 2nd, this charming Tuscan village transforms Piazza Dante into a gastronomic arena where three undisputed stars of local cuisine take centre stage. Tortelli steeped in tradition, strozzapreti pasta with the perfect texture, and snails prepared according to recipes handed down through generations: a culinary journey that captures the essence of the region. The food stalls offer far more than just first courses, featuring grilled meats, tender veal steaks, and the celebrated wild boar stew, a signature Maremma dish. Each evening comes alive with live music that transforms the piazza into a starlit dance floor, creating the convivial and joyful atmosphere that defines the most authentic Tuscan festivals.
