Sagra della Fragola (Strawberry Festival)

Maremma celebrates one of its most beloved and sweetest fruits with the 52nd edition of the Sagra della Fragola, taking place in Marsiliana from May 29 to June 2, 2026. This picturesque village in the municipality of Manciano transforms into an irresistible gastronomic destination, attracting visitors not only from the province of Grosseto, but also from the Livorno area and upper Lazio, confirming itself as one of the region's leading food and wine events. Far from being a simple celebration of the red fruit, the festival is an opportunity to discover the authentic culinary specialties of Maremma, expertly paired with prestigious local wines. Each evening, food stands offer traditional dishes that tell the story of Tuscany's rich culinary heritage, in a convivial and festive atmosphere where genuine flavors meet Maremma hospitality. The sweetest moment of the evening arrives with fresh strawberries, served according to the most classic recipes: with fresh cream, natural yogurt, or in gourmet versions paired with local DOC wines. Alongside the gastronomic offerings, four days of live musical performances, exhibitions by local artists, and family-friendly entertainment transform Marsiliana into a true stage of fun. Guests can also explore the charming medieval historic center of the village, discovering artisan shops and its rich history. The event runs from 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM (Friday and Saturday) and 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM (Sunday). Ample free parking is available near the village. Admission to the food stands is free, with average prices of €8-15 for main courses.
