Now in its 54th edition, this festival is an authentic celebration of Maremma's culinary tradition, rooted in the teachings passed down through generations of local fishermen and livestock breeders. From August 5-14, the blazing grills of ASD Atletico Maremma will welcome visitors in an atmosphere filled with aromatic smoke and conviviality. Here you can savor the finest specialties from the land: expertly grilled meats, sausages, cheeses, and seasonal vegetables, all prepared according to authentic local recipes. A sensory experience that takes you back to the genuine flavors and simple pleasures of Tuscan rural cuisine. The celebration continues with even more flavor from August 16-19 with the Sagra del Pesce Povero, a fascinating culinary journey through the tastes of the sea. The term ‹poor fish› tells a story of ingenuity and respect: these are the less noble fish that Maremma fishermen have transformed into extraordinary dishes—simple yet refined recipes that embody the gastronomic soul of the territory.
