Sagra della Lepre e del Cinghiale

The Sagra della Lepre e del Cinghiale in Selvatelle is one of the most anticipated events for traditional cuisine and game specialties enthusiasts. Spanning three weekends (September 27 – October 12, 2026), the festival celebrates authentic Tuscan flavors through iconic dishes such as pappardelle with hare ragù and hare in salmì, complemented by delicious wild boar preparations and other game specialties grilled over open flames. The food stalls, set up in fully renovated and covered venues, ensure comfort and quality throughout Saturday dinners and Sunday lunches and dinners. Beyond culinary offerings, the festival features a rich entertainment program designed for the whole family: live music and dancing evenings with bands, the entertaining Panforte tossing tournament, six-legged walks perfect for four-legged friends, a permanent wine bar managed by the local youth group, and a charity fair organized by the Selvatelle Misericordia.
