Sagra della salsiccia (Sausage Festival)

The Sagra della salsiccia of Orbetello returns in its summer edition from August 8-14, 2026 to celebrate one of the Maremma Grossetana's finest culinary treasures. In this charming seaside town, the Ottorino Vezzosi stadium transforms into a gastronomic arena where authentic local cuisine meets the joy and conviviality of summer evenings. Sausage, the true star of the festival, will be featured in a rich and varied menu: grilled sausage, sausage stewed with beans, sausage with creamy polenta, plus traditional accompaniments such as Tuscan bread, tomato bruschetta, and seasonal vegetables. A perfect opportunity to taste the regional specialties of southern Tuscany, where a passion for food combines with the festive spirit of togetherness and sharing. Five evenings of celebration await you at Stadio Vezzosi (via Marconi 2, 58015 Orbetello), easily reached from the former seaplane base at the town's edge, just steps from the historic center. The event opens from 7:00 PM onwards, with continuous dinner service until late evening. Prices are affordable and accessible to all, maintaining the authentic tradition of a popular festival. Each evening you can enjoy dishes in an informal and welcoming atmosphere, enlivened by live music and entertainment for the whole family. The event is organized by U.S Orbetello 1908 thanks to the essential contribution of numerous volunteers who ensure a genuine and authentic experience.
