SettembrediVino (Pitigliano Wine Cellar Festival)

SettembrediVino is the traditional Cellar Festival of Pitigliano, a special event celebrating the grape harvest and local winemaking heritage. During the festival, the breathtaking village perched on a tuff cliff opens the doors of its impressive historic cellars carved directly into the rock, turning alleyways and small piazzas into a rich food and wine trail. The undisputed star of the evenings is the local wine, with a special focus on Bianco di Pitigliano DOC, a true reflection of winemaking tradition on volcanic tuff soils. Inside the various cellars, wines are paired with typical local dishes and specialties, offering tastings and open-air dinners along the cobblestone alleys. Adding to the lively and convivial atmosphere, live music and entertainment fill the streets and underground spaces of the historic center, reviving the festive spirit of traditional harvest celebrations.
