The celebrated 47th edition of the Sagra del Cinghiale di Montecchio Vesponi returns, one of the most eagerly anticipated gastronomic events in the Valdarno Aretino region. Taking place on May 2-3 and May 7-10, 2026, this festival represents a cherished tradition where authentic Tuscan cuisine meets conviviality and the pleasure of fine dining. At the Polisportiva Il Pallone sports complex, in comfortable heated indoor facilities, visitors can savor succulent dishes featuring wild boar—the fierce beast that has inhabited the Valdarno forests for centuries—prepared according to genuine regional recipes. The menu features a refined selection of wild boar first and second courses that represent the heart of the festival: from traditional pappardelle with wild boar ragù, to braised wild boar with local aromatic herbs, to more substantial mains that showcase the tender, flavorful meat.
