Sagra del Crostino (Crostino Festival)

The 51st Sagra del Crostino returns to Albergo, a hamlet in Civitella in Val di Chiana, to celebrate one of Tuscany's most beloved culinary traditions. From July 9-12 and July 16-19, 2026, the Polisportiva Albergo Oliveto transforms the local sports field into a festive arena where authentic flavors of the Arezzo region meet family-friendly entertainment. Each evening from 7:30 PM, the restaurant and pizzeria offer local specialties in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The undisputed star of the table is Crostino Toscano, the celebrated appetizer made with chicken liver, capers, and anchovies on toasted bread, accompanied by other local delicacies such as pici pasta, Florentine steak, and DOC wines from the region. An authentic gastronomic experience that tells the story of centuries of Arezzo culinary tradition.
