Sagra della Castagna e del Porcino (Chestnut and Porcini Mushroom Festival)

The Sagra della Castagna e del Porcino returns to liven up the streets of the medieval village of Lucignano, in the province of Arezzo, celebrating the quintessential scents and flavors of the autumn season. Organized by Rione Porta Murata, the event blends authentic culinary traditions with warm conviviality and Tuscan local identity. The food stalls' menu highlights piping-hot roasted chestnuts and crispy fried porcini mushrooms, alongside rustic traditional dishes such as polenta with savory sauce, rosticciana (pork ribs), ciacce (fried flatbreads), sandwiches, and stuffed schiacciate. Adding to the festival's vibrant atmosphere are craft and local produce markets, live music, roaming street performers, and activities for children, featuring special appearances by Lucignano's Historical and Folkloric Groups.
